In the early morning there are horseback riders and on some weekends and holidays the campgrounds may be busy. Photographers come early and late in the evening for wildlife photography. There are weddings, festivals, dog walk events, horseback riding events, and many other events on the weekends.
Princess Park has been a pure joy to be able to share time in nature hiking with our dog. We have enjoyed seeing much wildlife.
Princess Place Preserve with its rich history and 1500 pristine acres, attracts nature enthusiasts from near and far. Visitors can take in the environment on one of the many hiking trails, dog walking trails, horseback riding trails, fishing and paddling in the salt marshes along the Matanzas River and Pellicer Creek, enjoy stunning photography of the live oaks and wildlife or camp out under the stars.
The park is open daily 7 AM to 6 PM, with tours of the historic lodge Fri-Sun at 2 PM. Park admission is free. There is a fee for camping.
