Under the deep shade of mature live oak trees along Noble Ave (US 27) in Williston, Epperson Park showcases two historical artifacts: power generation equipment once used to electrify the town, and a World War II Howitzer.
Open: Daytime hours
Along US 27 in Williston, east of downtown.
Established as a park in 1914 after the property was deeded to the city by the Eppersons, it sat along the main road through town, which at the time was dirt and canopied. There is a bench and picnic bench under the oaks, adjoining a sinkhole that has been fenced in.
There is no parking along US 27, but you can walk over from the adjacent restaurant or park around the corner.
