Keeping track of Everglades pythons

I’m pleased to report that Everglades National Park is now on Twitter, sharing what their staff (and wild places) are up to … and among the items shared this week is a link to their python capture count. They’ve been keeping stats on Burmese python captures since 2000, and these statistics are rather alarming as to how the captures have grown over the past 9 years … which says a lot for the explosive growth of the snake population!
