Formerly the hub of the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail in downtown White Springs, a stop for hikers along the Florida Trail, and an important draw for this community’s outdoor recreation enthusiasts, the State of Florida’s Nature and Heritage Tourism Center has now been closed. The headquarters for the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail has now moved to Lafayette Blue Springs State Park near Mayo.

The Florida Trail passes right through the parking area and down the steps to the spring house of White Sulphur Spring en route into Stephen Foster Folk Culture State Park.
