Months ago I found a nice telescoping snow shovel at a local outdoor store. It was deeply discounted in their clearance section. I wonder why?
Of course, seeing the irony, I requested an additional discount. They did not see the humor. They charged me the full discount price. Which was about the price of lunch at our local sub shop.
As the grasp of the first freeze creeped further south, I waited, shovel in hand, eyes watching for the first sight of snow.
Our friends’ Facebook photos showed drifts, snow covered highways, and shoveled paths.
With high hopes, I dressed in a long sleeve shirt and shorts. I began my search for the first snow of the season in order to begin my review of my new SUBZERO Snow and Ice tool.

I am sad to report that even with all of the heavy snows being dumped on our friends up north, we have not yet received any snow, or for that matter any real freezing weather.
I will be keeping the shovel right next to the door, ready at a moment’s notice to bolt to the first flurry. But it’s now almost February, and still no luck testing this SUBZERO Snow and Ice tool.
If this keeps up, I’ll have to ask one of our northern friends to test it for me.
