A sight that won’t be repeated, it seems, for the Cape San Blas Lighthouse is no longer open for visitors to climb, having suffered more damage during Hurricane Isaac in 2012.
I had climbed the tower to take panoramic photos for a travel guide I was working on, and this bald eagle settled into a pine tree almost close enough to touch.
