Along the basin of Bulow Creek, a freshwater swamp within mere miles of the Atlantic Ocean, Palm Coast has spread from its original core along Interstate 95 out to US 1 near Bunnell and across the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway to the edges of Hammock and Flagler Beach.
Most of Palm Coast is residential, but residents and visitors alike can enjoy a growing network of bike trails that connect the region’s parks and natural lands. Along the Atlantic side of the Intracoastal, the East Coast Greenway parallels A1A, and is incorporated into the St. John’s River to Sea Loop, a massive cycling loop in the works to connect Palatka and St. Augustine with DeLand and Titusville.
Addresses in Palm Coast include the historic coastal community of Hammock, the original settlement in the region.
