One of the best digital tools for connecting with fellow hikers, Meetup.com provides a treasure trove of organized groups for you to join and get out on a hike this hiking season.

I’m glad to see that many chapters of the Florida Trail Association have embraced Meetup, but there is also quite an array of outdoor enthusiast groups  across Florida to connect you with new hiker buddies.

Becoming a Meetup member is free, so take a spin through these groups and find some friends who want to hike!

Suggest you join the Florida Trail Hikers Facebook group and post your request there, where lots of people will see it.
