At the scenic confluence of Flint Creek with the Hillsborough River, John B. Sargeant Conservation Park provides access to the Hillsborough River State Canoe Trail amid a lush cypress floodplain.
Largely of interest to paddlers, the park has both a short boardwalk and a footpath leading to views of the confluence.

Directions
The park is 7.8 miles south of CR 535 at Thonotosassa along the west side of US 301.
Hike
Starting from the parking area on the north side of the canal, the Nature Boardwalk is a 0.3 mile loop beneath the shade of giant cypresses. It follows the access canal to the river’s convergence.
On the opposite side of the canal, the “Trail” is a separate rough and rooted path above the water to another viewpoint on the river.
Both trails reach the confluence of Flint Creek with the Hillsborough River.
