The wide pathway is designed for foot traffic and bicycles, immersing visitors in a forested oasis.

Directions
From Interstate 95, head east on SR 100 for 3.4 miles to Flagler Beach and turn left onto A1A. In 8.4 miles, make a right onto Jungle Hut Rd. In less than a quarter mile, a small pull-off with room for two cars will be on the right side of the road.
Hike
Beginning the hike next to a large sign at the trailhead, walk southward across a small grassy clearing, and turn right to begin a counterclockwise circuit around the loop.
Follow a well-worn crushed shell pathway as it leads into a dense thicket of tall saw palmettos.
Trailhead signPine saplings and rusty lyonia emerge from clusters of palm fronds, climbing towards the sun under a shady a canopy of twisted sand live oaks draped with Spanish moss.
In a few hundred feet, the trail turns sharply to the left.
Coastal hammockBeautyberry bushes occasionally crowd the trail, their branches thick with foliage in the warmer months, and shorting a bounty of iridescent purple berries in late summer.
Tangles of grapevines become more prominent as the pathway winds further into the forest.
BeautyberriesFerns and cabbage palms proliferate while entering a stand of pines on the eastern side of the loop.
Under a sparse canopy, sunlight reaches the needle-strewn pathway, filling the air with a piney scent.
Ferns and cabbage palmsThe trail returns to a hardwood hammock while approaching the northern end of the loop.
Morning glory vines creep across grasses and shrubs to display showy flowers early in the day.
Emerging from the woods after a little over one mile, the loop concludes at a grassy clearing next to the parking area.
